In any event, Sawnee the original creditor was paid after discussions with Sawnee. Sawnee did indicate that they had records of phone conversations with Credit Buerau Associates, however had no recollection of calls with Sawnee to resolve the matter. The 3rd party collection agency **** contact the individual concerning the collection of a South Carolina residence (the debt was generated in Georgia). Sawnee EMC does not have rights and/or access to the phone calls of the 3rd party collection agency and did not indicate they have the records. Either yours or the debt collector is fine. Please forward your documentation, also do you have a license to colledt a debt of south carolina residence, please forward as well. In fact it is very interesting that they have no records of numerous calls directly to Sawnee, however can claim they have all the call records from the debt collector. And Sawnee certainly has no understating that if the original creditor is paid the third party reporting company cannot report as it is not their debt. The response did not answer the question why a monopoly utility company would have any incentive to not remove any false information on a credit file.
